Transform your practice

Transform your life

I will lovingly challenge you to provide for yourself as well as you care for your clients.

Most practice development coaches focus on skill-building. I work very differently.

I’ve taught visioning, niching, ‘marketing,’ websites, networking, and fee setting for years. That is definitely an important part of creating purposeful and satisfying work. However, as therapists, we know that it’s the inner work that sets us free.

There are many important ways that we can offer and receive support. (I’ve utilized many of them myself!) This is depth somatic work for your practice and for your life. When we address our underlying needs for safety, belonging and connection we can move forward clearly, confidently and sustainably…even in this capitalist hellscape.

Though many of us face the same challenges, you are one of a kind. Our fear, guilt and shame have their own exquisite landscape and so the path through is unique to you. This is powerful embodied work with nuanced guidance.

Here there’s no digital platform. No self-paced online course. No facebook networking group. No recordings to watch later. No videos to watch at all! Just some guided somatic practices and encouraging reminders to keep you moving towards your longings as needed.

I work with a few therapists a year so we can go deep. This is a somaticized practice development. Because we can’t think our way to an anti-capitalist praxis or an anti-capitalist world.

I know how hard it can be to find a coach or therapist that is aligned with my values, not to mention one that is willing to share creative ideas and gently challenge me.

This is not about pressure, sales, flashy language or ‘fake it til you make it’ confidence. This is about values alignment in an experimental, messy, imperfect kind-of-way.

There is no pre-paid package, no thousands of dollars sign up fee.

This is a class-conscious, fee for service, one session at a time, ‘moving at the speed of trust’ offer.

This healing work is about you and what you care about. Your visionary healing journey so you can continue to do powerful work with your clients. I am not here to tell you what that looks like.

This is small-scale, relational support. We grow deep not wide, more aligned not just more, more and more.

I don’t want any of us to miss out on the connected, creative and restful life we all deserve to live— whatever that means to you.

Yes, here and now, even in capitalism.

  • This work is technically somatic coaching, yet I am also trained as a therapist, so I’m not afraid to accompany you into the depths. And visioning and money stuff takes us right there, doesn’t it?!

This is short term depth work around your wildest longings, class experience, and bold communication in your work. All so that you can have a fully aligned and sustainable practice to fulfill your heart, soul and purpose. Which includes your work and is also so much more than your work.

How is this different than therapy:

-I take a more active role

    -It might feel more edgy

-We travel through an arc with a beginning, middle and end

-We focus on now versus the past

But make not mistake, we will go deep. I will lovingly challenge you. With all due respect for your fears and concerns.

We won’t focus on your mom or your trauma but we will get into how what’s in your body affects the way that you organize or practice and work with your clients. Or what types of client personalities you even work with! We might also explore how attachment patterns show up in your practice.

Did I mention, we will talk about money a lot? In capitalism, this is a radical act.

Our practice is really just the entry point. And I find it goes really deep really fast. Money, martyrdom, resentment, what your body needs out of a day week year… How being a therapist impacts your other relationships.

Some of my clients meet with me in addition to their own personal therapy or in place of it. Totally up to you.

  • We will tap into your deepest longings to guide the work

We will make a powerful connection with your body wisdom through breath and self-contact

We will lovingly tend to any hurt, shame or fear that may be in the way of your vision

We will gently guide any stuck or constricted places to be free

You will leave with simple yet profound daily practices to use between sessions

  • Your body knows— we will listen even when it’s hard to hear the truth

Together our presence and focus is stronger

Creativity and life will find a way

    Deep healing creates sustainable change

Rest and joy make our work more powerful

  • Psychotherapists and somatic practitioners are my main jam—because I am both of those. I also work with other healing practitioners such as life coaches, bodyworkers, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and more.

If you have a private mostly one to one and/or group healing practice and feel drawn to work with me, let’s connect.

  • Yes, I have offered practice-building support for many years. I can support you in avoiding many of the typical reasons practitioners have to rebound from burnout before you get there.

  • Sometimes sharing identities and life experience with our practitioners is essential.

Here is a list of some trusted BIPOC colleagues that offer somatic work.

  • I am descended from several generations of British and German settlers mostly educators, artists, entrepreneurs, and merchants.

I am shaped by being white-bodied, middle class, able-bodied, nonbinary, femme, queer, and a survivor from the south. Raised by cats, I came of age amongst punks and queer AIDS activists. More about me and my training here.

  • Though I am a seasoned supervisor and consultant, in this work I am attending to the wholeness of you and your life rather than specific clinical issues.

However, sometimes clinical issues are in the way of making the changes we need to make in our practice especially around misaligned clients or fee issues. So I’ve got you there, too.

  • We meet on zoom, a private portal to your space. This is not a meeting. Our sessions will blend deep conversation, embodied strategizing, expressive arts, interactive somatic practice, and breath-focused bodywork using self-touch. All with informed consent.

  • This is shorter term work- quarter by quarter, so 3-12 months. We re-evaluate each season.

We meet weekly for 50 minutes 10 weeks out of each 12 week quarter. I have found this creates the most momentum and gives you the deepest results in the shortest amount of time.

This is short or medium-term work so generally three months for a tuneup to one year for an overhaul.

  • My 2025 fees per 50 minute session are based on your class background. If you are able to pay my full fee due to current or eventual class mobility, inheritance, assets, or other resources please do so.

poor/working class: I offer one ongoing $100 space for poor and working class folks. I prioritize transwomen/femmes and/or BIPOC.

    middle class $200

    managerial class $300

    owning class: $400

Most practice coaches tell you that you have to invest in yourself if you want change. They're not wrong.

But I don’t do $3-10k packages or courses. Even if you had that money you probably wouldn’t spend it on practice development. Why? That’s for a whole other deep dive.

But for now, let’s just say, I get it. I’ve been there.

I do not want a large sum of money to be a financial or symbolic barrier. So I offer session by session payment so you don’t have to pay a huge payment on the front end before you have even had a chance to try some sessions together.

I am confident you receive the support you need and so much more. But a large sum of money can be a financial and/or emotional barrier. It’s might be scary and unusual to consciously and meaningfully spend on your practice like this.

Or maybe you are wiling to make some types of nurturing investmens for yourself but others feel wrong or indulgent. But, who knows, things might change!
